National Institute of Corrections Curriculum Development

The National Institute of Corrections (NIC) Academy Division is seeking applications for the development of a competency-based, blended modality training curriculum that will provide corrections professionals with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to facilitate offender groups using the Thinking for a Change(T4C) 3.1 curriculum.

Research & Evaluation in Justice Systems

This U.S. Department of Justice solicitation seeks proposals to examine topics relevant to State and/or local criminal and juvenile justice systems policy and practice. Specific focus areas under this solicitation for Fiscal Year (FY) 2012 include: research on District Attorneys’ pretrial diversion programs (anticipates one award of up to $1 million); a pilot study on the impact of incarceration on families (anticipates one award of up to $500,000); and research on the impact of video visitation on offender outcomes (anticipates one award of up to $350,000). Application titles should clearly indicate the focus area selected.
